THE NGO’S UNIVERSITY
We are the NGO’s university, the Open University of Catalonia’s solidarity initiative. We develop training, research and sensibilisation programmes with social and humanitarian applications using a virtual educational methodology in order to improve peoples living conditions.
Training, research and sensibilisation
The Campus for Peace and Solidarity is made up of a team of multidisciplinary professionals from the Open University of Catalonia, a pioneering institution and reference point in virtual training formed in 1994. We are the NGO’s university: we use information technology for research and education in the humanitarian field.
Social and humanitarian application
We create and transfer social and humanitarian expertise with a university, virtual and universal access perspective. From our campus we offer flexible programmes of academic management and teacher training courses, continuous pedagogic assessment, volunteer experts from around the world and specific didactic materials.

Learning to read and write in various languages and learning how to use the internet.
Ethical banks and investment funds which provide micro-credits, financing and grants for social and humanitarian activities.
Courses, masters' and postgraduate degree programmes for NGOs and organisations linked to humanitarian issues, peace, the environment, solidarity, cooperation, human rights advocacy, etc.

Websites, newsletters, e-journals and other channels of information to keep track of NGO and humanitarian activities.
Fair trade shops where it is possible to buy and sell products produced under equitable conditions as well as organisations which seek to promote fair trade.
Area for the protection of human rights where it is possible to present and handle claims against the violation of human rights.
