Information technology in cooperation for development

The Campus for Peace and Solidarity is an initiative of the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (Open University of Catalonia, UOC).

The aim is to contribute to the development of values such as social justice, peace building, human rights, sustainability, conservation of nature, etc.

The Campus for Peace and Solidarity develops e-learning initiatives to improve people’s quality of life.

Currently underway:The University for NGOs. We create training programmes, on our own or in collaboration with NGOs, in the areas of health, human rights, cooperation and new technology, the environment and social cohesion.

Cooperation for Development. Projects are designed and developed to provide practical knowledge to people at risk of social exclusion.

Knowledge Networks. We promote sector meetings, specialised congresses and contact with networks that work towards cooperation, peace, corporate social responsibility, etc.

Future projects Support scientific applied research in the area of cooperation for development.

Create IT tools (eg, medical diagnosis, conflict situation simulation, etc.) and make these available to NGOs and other cooperation organisations.

Continue to improve the quality and quantity of our activities.
