The UOC, “la Caixa” and L'Hospitalet City Council sign an agreement to provide e-learning in the Torrassa area of L'Hospitalet
The Torrassa neighbourhood 27/10/2006The “Living, Living Together and Surviving” project is aimed at population groups at risk of social exclusion living in the Torrassa and Collblanc neighbourhoods of L'Hospitalet de Llobregat. A field study to detect people's specific needs in terms of social cohesion, knowledge of Catalan and Spanish, access to the labour market and the proper use of the social resources available is underway.
The Torrassa neighbourhoodThe training programmes, which will be presented in the form of online courses, seek to strengthen the existing social network and provide it with the necessary tools to avoid social exclusion. The areas to be covered are health, productivity, social cohesion and integration, literacy and e-learning. The courses are principally designed to be practical, so that they can be put to use by the locals and the associations working in these areas so as to improve living conditions.
The project receives support from L'Hospitalet City Council and collaboration from the “la Caixa” Foundation.
