Knowledge Transfer
The Campus for Peace and Solidarity took part in the conference organised by the ACTLC (Catalan Association for Leisure and Culture) on the “Knowledge Transfer in International Cooperation Projects” as part of their rural tourism in Morocco project
During the conference, September 2006 The Associació Catalana pel Temps Lliure i la Cultura (Catalan Association for Leisure and Culture, ACTLC) organised a conference on the “Knowledge Transfer in International Cooperation Projects”. The event also involved the presentation of the “Rural Chaoeun” project to help develop rural tourism in Morocco.
Francesc Xavier Martín, Deputy Mayor of Terrassa and Councillor for the Knowledge Society, made the introduction to the presentation. Then, Ignasi de Bes, Director of International Cooperation at the ACTLC, presented the other speakers. Mohamed Hakoun, President of the Rif el Andalous Association, which seeks to protect the heritage of Chefchaouen, described his organisation's experience as part of the project. The Campus for Peace and Solidarity offer a virtual platform within the UOC and gave a brief presentation on how information and communication technologies could be used to assist these kinds of cooperation for development projects.
The event was closed by the ACTLC’s Project Coordinator for International Cooperation, Yesica Ruiz, who described the services rural tourism organisation involved in the Rural Chaoeun international cooperation project.
