Open to the world:
Comprehensive, international scope

The UOC has a strong international presence thanks to its strategy of forging alliances with universities and research institutions in different countries.

These alliances are built on a foundation of respect for and acceptance of cultural and linguistic differences.

The UOC promotes an integrated system of research, information and documentation activities relating to the use of ICT in education through the UNESCO Chair in E-Learning. One of the chair’s primary goals is to promote equal opportunities with regard to access to new technologies in the knowledge society.

Open to businesses:
Promoting business and entrepreneurial activity

The UOC signs partnership agreements with companies with a view to serving as a flagship in the promotion of an enterprising knowledge economy.

The UOC is committed to the economic and industrial spheres and to this end founded the business-oriented UOC Group, tasked with transferring the university’s innovation, knowledge and know-how to society.

The UOC Group has carried out more than 900 local and international partnership projects with different institutions.

Its primary services include:

  • Design, implementation and administration of comprehensive online training systems — making the UOC’s experience in virtual learning environments available to institutions.

  •
  • Customised training for companies – helping to make them more competitive and efficient.

  •
  • Knowledge management and the creation of virtual communities — forging new bonds between people in forums for communication and exchange.
