A benchmark university

The first semester of this academic year saw 553 students enrol on the current Catalan Language and Literature degree; a figure which makes the UOC one of the universities with the highest number of students studying this degree in the Catalan-speaking regions.

The UOC has seen constant growth in the number of students on the officially recognised Catalan Language and Literature degree since it began in the academic year 1998-1999. The first year saw 121 students enrol, and two years later this figure was already up to 252. Over 300 enrolled in the academic year 2003-2004, when the total reached 323, and the first semester of the academic year 2007-2008 saw the number reach 503.
