In the journal’s dossier, a number of experts analyse different aspects, such as how to deal with the current digital divide or how this inequality is linked to students’ academic performance in developed countries. These and other reflections are offered alongside analysis of experiences in trying to overcome this divide, such as in the article on the policies introduced over the last ten years in a university institution in Tanzania.
The journal also includes a series of articles written by experts analysing different experiences and reflections on learning in the knowledge society. For example, they look at a range of initiatives and proposals including open educational resources, the experiences in distance learning at the University of A Coruña and a number of Andalusian universities, or the hybrid learning environments developed by the University of the Andes, among others.
