EUNIS analyses European university information systems
[03/02/2010]
The UOC is to host the annual meeting of the European University Information Systems (EUNIS) E-Learning Task Force (ELTF). EUNIS fosters networking between information systems managers at Europe's higher education and research institutions. The meeting, organised by the network and the UOC's Office of Learning Technologies, is to take place on Thursday 4 February at the University's Barcelonès Support Centre (Rambla de Catalunya 6) at 9.15am.

The aim of this meeting is to set out the plans for EUNIS e-learning research projects. During the meeting, the ELTF is to review the research carried out to date and discuss the strategy to be applied in the field of e-learning. This task force is in charge of leading various projects and activities to promote information exchange and collaboration for Europe. The task force is currently made up of around thirty international researchers from different universities.

John Zvereff, Director of International Development at the UOC, is to present the institution, and Carles Fernàndez, researcher at the UOC’s Office of Learning Technologies, is to take part throughout the meeting.

The UOC in EUNIS

The UOC has formed part of EUNIS since the start of 2009. The University’s Office of Learning Technologies took part in the organisation’s most recent conference in Santiago de Compostela, from 23 to 26 June. This event was when the UOC was selected to host this year’s E-Learning Task Force meeting.
